Back at gamescom — and This Time, in Hanfu

Cologne, August 30, 2026 — Our second gamescom is in the books, and what a week it was.

If you visited us at gamescom last year, you knew where to find us this year: Hall 2.1 C003, same spot as our 2025 debut. The location didn't change. What we brought to it did.

When we made our gamescom debut in 2025, we weren't sure what to expect. This year, we came back knowing exactly why we were there: to meet the people behind the games we love working on. And Cologne did not disappoint.

The Hanfu moment

If you spotted someone walking the halls in a traditional Wei-Jin cross-collar Hanfu, that was our founder, Tiger. It was his first time wearing Hanfu at gamescom, and it turned plenty of heads — which, honestly, was kind of the point. Because that's exactly what localization is about: carrying culture across borders, authentically. Not flattening it, not explaining it away — wearing it proudly and letting it start a conversation. And start conversations it did.

Introducing MavenCAT — flexible by design

This year we also brought something new to the show floor: MavenCAT, our AIPE (AI Post-Editing) solution. We demoed it throughout the week, and the client feedback genuinely exceeded our expectations.

What sets MavenCAT apart is flexibility. It supports 100% human localization for projects where nothing less will do. And for teams looking to move faster, it enables AI-assisted human workflows — using different LLMs for a first-round translation, followed by proofreading from our in-house subject matter experts. You choose the workflow; the quality bar stays the same.

And before anything ships: MavenQA

Alongside MavenCAT, we showcased MavenQA, our quality assurance solution that catches errors before delivery — broken tags, mismatches, number inconsistencies, glossary deviations. It's the last line of defense that makes sure what leaves our hands is what your players deserve.

Good conversations all around

Over the course of the week, we sat down with developers and publishers from around the world — indie teams shipping their first title, established studios planning multi-language launches, and everyone in between. We even had some great exchanges with fellow localization providers. Say what you will about competition; when localization people get together, the shop talk is always worth it.

Twenty years in, still all in

For those who met us for the first time at gamescom: we've spent the past two decades doing one thing — game localization, done properly. That's 500+ titles localized, 600+ titles put through LQA, and coverage across 80+ languages, all under one roof: localization, LQA, dubbing, and cultural consulting. In 2026, we earned ISO 9001, 27001, and 17100 certifications, and we've maintained a 99.1% on-time delivery rate over the past three years — because a great translation that ships late isn't great at all.

To everyone who stopped by, tried MavenCAT, or asked Tiger about his Hanfu — thank you. See you at gamescom 2027.
