Interpretation

WeMaven delivers turnkey interpretation services to meet your global business needs, including:

  • Consecutive interpretation
  • Simultaneous interpretation
  • Whispered interpretation
  • Over-the-phone interpretation

All WeMaven interpreters are highly qualified, experienced and professional. It is WeMaven's promise to clients that only the right interpreter is sent for the right assignment.

  • Consecutive Interpretation
Consecutive interpretation is generally suitable for small, intimate group settings with few languages (two or more) where the interpreter and speaker(s) sit next to one another and speak via a microphone if the event is being held with a large audience or in a large room. WeMaven offers consecutive interpretation services in over 40 languages.

  • Simultaneous Interpretation
A much more complex and strenuous interpretation mode than consecutive interpretation, simultaneous interpretation is generally preferred for many events including large conferences/meetings or settings with two or more languages. Simultaneous interpretation requires two or three interpreters per target language who work in turns, alternating at regular intervals (usually every 20-30 minutes). WeMaven provides simultaneous interpretation services in over 40 languages.

  • Whispered interpretation
Whispering Interpreting is where the interpreter sits next to the person needing to understand the foreign language and whispers what's being said in their ear. Whispered interpretation is generally used in a minority of situations since the interpreter’s voice may disturb other participants.

  • Telephone interpretation
Telephone interpreting is a service that connects human interpreters via telephone to individuals who wish to speak to each other but do not share a common language. The telephone interpreter converts the spoken language from one language to another, enabling listeners and speakers to understand each other.
